Artistic Approach
I take inspiration for my ceramics from nature, seeds, flowers, pearls and shells. I use a wheel, various hand building techniques and slip casting to make porcelain pieces that not only decorate but are also functional. I play with the illusion of fragility by thinning the lip of a bowl leaving the rest of the piece a little fuller for strenght.

I merge content and function by making visual links with nature. For example, I leave the imprint of an organic or geometric object to create the foot of the bowl. In addition, some of my works will remind you of a tulip, calla lily, shells, eggshells or mushrooms.
